If you’re someone who finds beauty in life’s imperfections, Super 8 film might be perfect for you.
Originally developed by Kodak in the 1960s, Super 8 is an 8mm film format typically shot at 18fps. I use a Canon 514XL which doesn’t record sound but produces wonderfully grainy, delightfully imperfect footage that feels right at home in love stories.
Super 8 is imperfect, choppy, sometimes out of focus and it remains my absolute favorite way to capture fleeting moments in time.
